This November will be 52 years that some of us got to the 129th until April 13 th 1968 ETS from Lane. His wife had a quite viewing and celebration of life already. We had some beautiful weather, great conversations and we even held our "flag burning / Memorial" around the campfire on Saturday night. and thanks for all your prayers an concern,have a good time in kokomo. Been talking with a guy who owns #358 of the 129th & although it looks like a basket case, he has all the parts to put it back together. Owner has helped out other groups with parts & airframes etc. JW it's a milestone that a lot of us were blessed to see. Ended up in Vung Tu 18th Quarter Master pulling security and later around September I was back at the 129th. The article indicates that this helicopter (originally a D model) began its service with the 129th in VN. Alex you are right but over the past few years I try to respect those that tell me they are sick.
Rick thanks, I talked to them a few days ago and they said they mailed all forms this past Monday for the sites.
Have not checked my mail yet but they also said that if you paid for your wrist band ahead to take your card to the gate when you check in to pick them up.
Seen on TV where the storms came through Celina Ohio. We are all getting older, but, just remember that the 129th AHC will be at LZ Kokomo in 2018 on 429W. I would say that there were probably around 15 regulars that could not make it this year for what ever reasons........health, accidents or personal and our hearts go out to you (it was even worse last year). wink 3/69-10/70 wink Wink praying for you and your Family and everyone in the path of this Hurricane.
